By wearing lab coats, goggles, and gloves in the student laboratory, they will simulate what it is like to work in the health care field and protect themselves from potential pathogens. It is crucial for students to not only learn about lab safety, but also to practice it. With these supplies, my students will be accustomed to these procedures as they transform from high school to college and beyond. It will also heighten their awareness of practicing proper hygiene and their ability to educate family, friends, and the general public.
