With these tools and materials, they will be reading manuals that are on the FIRST's website. The manuals give the students a step by step process to connect motors and motor controllers using Anderson connectors, the crimpers, and power poles. The Anderson housing units (connectors and power poles) have a much better connection which allows electrical current to pass with less resistance. These materials will be used to help them learn how to set up Anderson housings for batteries, motors, and motor controllers. The students currently have minimal knowledge of how to connect these Anderson units (connectors and power poles) using the ratcheting crimper. The outcome is for them to gain this knowledge and to teach the students that are new to the robotics club.
