A colorful carpet is one of the components we need in order to help us set up our classroom reading corner. Each child has worked extremely hard to improve their reading levels and they have asked for a comfortable, fun place to curl up with a good book! Setting up a reading corner in our classroom will further foster a love of reading, a love of books, & a love of learning in our classroom. A reading carpet will create classroom excitement and give each child the opportunity to further develop and set new reading goals for themselves. Providing a carpet for our classroom allows children to take ownership of their learning. Each child will be able to set new reading goals for themselves while creating an environment where they feel comfortable in achieving those goals.
