My students require a variety of materials to help ease their strong feelings and help support emotional regulation. There are so many sensory needs that can be addressed with fidget toys, balance balls, wobble chairs, floor rockers, and more. With visual timers and flexible seating arrangements, the students are able to regulate their bodies in the ways they need, in order to learn. The variety of seating choices allow for movement and sensory input without interrupting their or others' learning. The timers show a visual of when changes will take place to allow the student to prepare for the change.
