A major part of many science classes is the concept of charge including electrons, protons, ionic bonding, and static electricity to name some. A Van de Graaf generator can be shared among many classes, not just mine. It can be used in all core physical science classes. The idea of science is to get students excited and students love to see hair stand on end and getting shocked! This generator will help introduce many science topics while having fun. It will also generate interest as to what is really happening and what is generating that charge! I want students to know that science learning can be fun.
