I am looking for ways to improve my video recordings for students when they are learning remotely. A document camera will allow me to model solving problems while I am speaking. This will allow students to see and hear solutions to questions. Modeling problem solving has great success in helping students to gain proficiency and confidence. This is especially important in both Physical Science, in which I am teaching an introduction to physics and chemistry, and in Chemistry. Both subjects are challenging for students and having a model (both visual and auditory) can be extremely helpful in students gaining an understanding of the concepts. I also want a laminator so I can provide formula sheets and periodic tables for reference while in class, and be able to sanitize them after student use.
