As our school district moves to a Dual Language model, our students are in need of Spanish literature to support the learning in the classroom. Our library currently only has one small cart with Spanish books at lower reading levels. It is essential that we provide these students with the opportunity to read books that will engage and promote a love of reading in them. Having Spanish language books in the library will provide an effective approach to developing language proficiency and literacy in English and in Spanish. Students will be able to maintain their native language while adding on another language.
