ECS Performing Arts students have been working to bring quality theatre productions to our rural community and school over the past ten years. This after school program is essential, as this is the only opportunity within our rural, low socioeconomic county for students interested in the arts to explore their talents and build their skills in theatre education. However, working in a historic auditorium with outdated audio and lighting equipment, as well as producing shows on fundraising efforts alone, creates many obstacles for the performances. This outstanding group has grown in both size and capability, enabling students to start producing well known musicals, and we are striving to continue bringing this type of theatre to our student body and surrounding community for years to come.
