Every child deserves to have the tools needed to thrive in the classroom. For a lot of my students, school is the only consistency they have in their lives. Many students go through hardships no one should experience at such a young age. But those students still come to school with smiles on their faces and ready to learn every day. Unfortunately, most of my students come to school without any supplies, leaving me in charge of buying all of my students' school supplies. With the school supplies provided, I will be able to create hands-on, engaging lessons for my first grade students. The school supplies listed will be used to create alternative ways of learning such as writing journals, interactive notebooks, end-of-unit crafts and data binders instead of traditional worksheets. Some of the manipulatives requested will help students visualize math lessons and give students a hands-on learning experience.
