The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them multiple learning opportunities presented through teacher-led centers, independent learning centers, and whole group discussion that will lead to increased expressive, receptive language skills, along with increased cognition. These skills are so important for our students to grasp as they transition into the next class. My goal as a special education self-contained teacher is to prepare my students for success and, with these resources, I can create more functional learning environment that teaches foundational skills for life. Another important factor for my class is parent education and participation: with these tools and resources donated, I can create home learning kits for each student to have in the home to help foster education and learning across multiple environments. Our class is so excited for this wonderful gift!
