Breakout Kits are a fun way to reinforce ESL concepts and develop problem solving skills in a competitive, engaged, and energetic environment. In this fun and engaging learning activity, students are trying to break into a box that is locked with several different kinds of locks. The teacher comes up with different activities that allow the students to discover clues or solve problems in their small group. Writing journals will be used daily for writing prompts and free write. Sticky chart paper is used for anchor charts around the classroom.
