Partitions in our learning environment will set visual boundaries, allow centers for focused learning, and reduce distractions to increase learning time. The routine in my classroom reflects my students' needs, and therefore lessons are conducted in a small group setting at centers, individualizing the instruction for each student. The classroom setup maximizes student learning at these centers, however my students become easily distracted even when working one-to-one with a teacher. The room dividers will immensely help and can increase the learning that takes place! Additionally, the room dividers will visually separate the classroom which helps students with visual processing difficulties to navigate the room. My students are so deserving of the opportunity to learn and develop in a room that is welcoming and not overstimulating.
