We are requesting tablets and pencils. The pencils have an obvious use! My students need the basics to be successful in class and the gift of pencils will help them with that. The tablets will help my students to access grade level curriculum with the necessary accommodations they need to read literary and real world text as well as write narrative, expository and persuasive essays. The tablets will allow them to have audio versions of novels and textbooks, have word prediction and speech to text to assist with writing as well as access to websites that will support their learning.
