All of the items you can donate will be utilized in many different ways! With the literature, my students will be able to see themselves in the stories that we read. When students can see themselves in a story, it allows them to be inspired and it can impact them in more ways then we can imagine. With these stories, students can build connections and can even mirror identities! My goal is to make lifetime readers and to have my students grow a love towards literacy! Have you ever sat for 8 hours without moving? As an adult, it sounds ridiculous to be sitting for 8 hours with little to no movement, but in a school setting, children often are forced to sit for a long period of time. With the lack of movement, this can cause behavioral issues that can later lead to lower academics. Did you know that a child's attention span is about as long as their age number? For example, a 9 year old can focus for about 9 minutes, one minute give or take. With flexible seating options, this can allow kids to get their wiggles out all while learning! Overall, everything I am asking for will be used and will benefit the students in my classroom immensely. Everything donated is greatly appreciated! Thank you for helping me grow these tiny minds!
