The students at our school will be participating in a school wide Social Emotional day with their fathers. The students in K-2 will be reading "Scribble Stone" and building a Kindness Rock garden for the school. The students in grades 3-5 will be using the book "What do I do with a Chance?" and writing poems about chances, dreams and hopes with their fathers. This is my first project and I would love to see the students be able to walk through the kindness garden once it is complete with other students who are learning social emotion skills. The Rock garden will be used as a calm down area for the school and a place for classes to visit as a way to regulate students' emotions.
