Math can sometimes be a tough subject to gain an understanding of when there are so many different ways to solve problems. The reason for me choosing these math items is to give the students some hands on visuals they can use to help them get a better understanding of numbers and to see that numbers can come in many different forms. I would love for them to gain an understanding in the differences of coins and value that each holds. The students will be able to utilize these materials to gain the knowledge that they need to succeed in math.
