It's vitally important that all students see themselves in literature. I have compiled a set of books that tells the stories of children from diverse cultural backgrounds and books that teach empathy and doing the right thing. Along with a variety of narrative texts, I have also selected a few historical fiction and non-fiction books about minority mathematicians, scientists, and leaders to all inspire children! I've also picked books that break down gender stereotypes. I want to let kids know that that they can do anything they set their minds too! These books will be loved and cherished for years to come! Thank you!
