Going hand-in-hand with our school's focus on vocational education and improving life skills, my aim as the Adaptive P.E. teacher is to introduce my students to new, fun, and stimulating games and activities while reinforcing basic functional movements. With basic Phys Ed materials along with equipment for sports and games, all of our students will be able to have an opportunity to get much needed physical activity in an enjoyable, low-stress environment. For our more athletically inclined students, an adjustable net will be perfect for pickleball and volleyball games. A cornhole set will help develop throwing and body control skills while teaching students a game they will be able to play with family and friends once they leave school. Pool noodles, hula hoops, and bean bags are necessities for our students who need different objects to manipulate and aid in functional movement while having fun. All of the equipment will greatly add to the joy and enthusiasm our students have in Phys Ed!
