These differentiated learning materials will allow my students to engage in learning important skills, demonstrate their knowledge and most importantly, feel successful. My substantially separate classroom consists of 13 amazing students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in grades 4-6. These students vary in academic levels and skills and traditional learning styles are not always appropriate or successful. Some skills these students are working on include sight words, CVC words, money, time, sorting, and numbers. For many of these students schoolwork is very aversive, leading to problem behaviors. This amazing list of learning materials can be switched out often and will seem like play instead of work, which will be a huge hit!
