Some students don't have books at home, to help them, we offer them an incentive for reading. As students are encouraged to read one book, they are enticed by the knowledge that they can earn one of their very own. The popular paperback books that I have chosen, is my Read one, Get One, program. The students that have read 5 books per semester, will get one free paperbound book. The popular paperback books that were chosen, will ensure that they will want to take on the challenge. This is a way for them to not only build up their own Libraries but to feel proud because they have earned their new book. It also teaches them pride and responsibility of taking care of their books, both from the Library and at home.
