During these last few years students have missed key concepts most noticeable in literacy. Currently my students are working their hardest to learn missed concepts and become great readers. These supplies will enhance their learning by making it interactive and hands on. They will have a chance to create words and focus on letter patterns and sound families. Along with writing and using the words learned. My students really enjoy working with hands on materials. They almost always choose hands on learning when given the choice. With these new kits and supplies, my students will be able to create words and write learned sorts as they work towards grade level. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and in order for my students to read more they need to enjoy it. As they create words, and use these kits their interest in reading will increase. I have seen how these kits can benefit student learning and would like to give my students this benefit as well. After seeing the struggles that my students have faced with distance learning and Covid-19 where so many concepts were missed, I want to give them as many options as I can to success.
