When our programs were moved out of the main high school building and over to a satellite campus, we faced many challenges. The facilities in our new location are very old and outdated, and one thing we are lacking is functional water fountains for our staff and students. Due to the age of the building and quality of the pipes, we can not simply have water fountains installed. In the Fall and Spring months the building is very hot and students struggle to get through the day without water breaks. Our students deserve fresh water to drink every day. The addition of a water cooler in our lunch room would help us all get through the hot days at the beginning and end of the school year much easier, and help our staff and students feel cared about and important, despite being relegated to a satellite location.
