These books will make it possible to have a book group in my AP Calculus classroom after we have taken the AP Exam. In the past after the AP Exam I have allowed the students to pick additional topics for us to cover and have also included a project where they can determine what they cover. Some have picked to learn topics that were not covered on the AP exam and then create lessons to teach the class. Others have researched to show where in their future career path they will use Calculus. This book lets the students see the connection one student made with his former Calculus teacher and how it has impacted his life. It would allow us to also add a book discussion to the end of the year activities.
