This is my first year teaching and my classroom has a rug that is several years old. My students and I gather on the rug several times during the day for reading and discussions. I would love to have a nice, new, and inviting rug for my students. This rug would benefit all students in my class this year and for several years to come. A rug is not just a gathering place in an elementary classroom, but is also a useful classroom management tool that helps establish a sense of home for the students. Any help toward obtaining a new rug for my students is greatly appreciated.
