While Chromebooks fulfill a basic need for students in the classroom, they don't quite have the power to edit large chunks of high-quality film data. Students in film club will use the Mac Mini to compile and edit their films and compete in the state film contest. With a Mac Mini, my students will be able to quickly upload film footage, use the updated classroom projectors as a monitor, and have the processing capability to edit their films using the technology and film editing programs that colleges and professionals use. Once this project gets funded, I will look to purchase Final Cut Pro for my students.
