Our school population is 95% low social economically disadvantage. We try to offer as many opportunists to engage our students to be motivated to learn. The opportunity to build the Goblin and be able to compete against other schools in our region has motivated our students to come together as a team. We received the electric car and had to build it from the ground up. In order for our team to compete we must have certain safety requirement in place , so with out this safety equipment our students can not participate in the Gobbling Green Power USA South Texas Races. Racing Helmet, gloves, and race suit are required. This an initiative for public elementary school to promote STEAM, Science, technology, engineering, Arts, and Mathematics at our campus. We have 20 students both boys and girls that participate in this program. Funding at our public school is very limited and that is why we reach out to donors and businesses who are willing to invest in our students academic endeavors.
