As a teacher, I am mindful of the subject I teach and the importance of my students' education, but I am also aware that students have needs that can be a roadblock to the learning process. Covid-19 has created a problem in the school that many people may not have anticipated. Once water fountains were replaced with water refilling stations, many of our students have been going an entire school day without water. The bottled water supply that the school had been providing has long run out, and several of my students come to school without water bottles to refill. Students are often tired, have headaches, or are very thirsty by the end of the school day. Providing reusable water bottles will help students feel better throughout the day. The bottles will also eliminate the waste that bottled water creates.
