Nutrition for my students is critical. This project will show students that it is possible to grow their own foods in a small footprint and sustainable manner. Students will grow vegetables in a hydroponic environment. They will monitor the length of time from planting to harvest and track the yield of each vegetable and then identify if the cost to yield ratio is effective. Students will gain confidence that they have power over their food supply and nutritional needs. Students can then feel independence from limited food supplies in their neighborhood.
