There are 97 students that I teach to dance on the Autism spectrum and 97 students love to perform for their parents and family. We have the ability to have such an amazing program that allows our students to express themselves, boosts confidence and gets exercize while learning to perform. They look forward to showing off their skills every spring! Last year was my first year in this school and I was told that they will not get on stage because they can't do it, theyr're too shy. They can do it and they will love it. Every student went proudly on stage to showcase their skills. The theme was 'Dancing through the Decades' and we made most of our costumes. This spring our show theme is "We are the World," and we would love to have help making this come to life. The materials that are requested for donors choose are all different kinds of clothing and props which the students will wear for the show this coming spring. The different colored shirts, skirts, suglasses, hats, flowers, tape, facepaint etc. are all what the students will wear to help them represent the country that they are dancing to. The children are excited to learn about the different cultures and dances that make our theme, "We are the World."
