One area my students struggle the most with is reading and writing. Using the Chromebooks with text-to-speech and speech-to-text will allow for my students to be able to listen while reading and write independently by using these features. I am requesting 3 Chromebooks for a learning station. At this station, students will be able to listen to stories and practice writing to boost their reading and writing independence. In my classroom, we practice reading and writing daily using a variety of learning strategies. The addition of technology would give my students a much needed boost of practice and confidence in the areas of reading and writing. Students who are confident in their reading and writing abilities will be able to increase their independence and achieve their individualized education goals.
