This project will give all students an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives. With this project all students to be able to have their own shirt and dye it without having to worry about paying for anything.
Our students would not be able to have this experience without this project. This project will fund dye for all classes to use and provide 150 shirts for our students who cannot provide their own. Throughout the year we have been discussing different aspects of color theory. This tie dye project will be the culmination of all that we have learned. Each student will be able to use the 3 primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) to dye their shirts and experience color mixing first hand. They will be able to use the primary colors to make the secondary colors (purple, orange, and green). This hands-on experience will allow students to have a firm grasp of color theory.
This is the last year our students will go to this school and I hope the kids can use this project to remember their time here fondly.
