My students love working with technology and, as a result, are most engaged when we have access to these tools. They love to work on Google docs, Google Classroom, and Seesaw, a platform that allows them to create a digital portfolio that automatically shares their work with their classmates and parents. Currently, we have only five Chromebooks, making it difficult for students to access these tools regularly. With more Chromebooks in our classroom, students will be able to access these digital resources to demonstrate their learning. In addition, students will increase their digital literacy by utilizing the tools through Google Drive to collaborate and share their work and writing pieces. I believe that these Chromebooks will increase student engagement and ultimately student growth in my third grade classroom.
