In New York City public schools, students are no longer taught how to write in cursive. Not only does this make it difficult for children to read cursive when they encounter it, it also makes it impossible for them to sign their names as adults -- unless they learn it outside of the basic curriculum. Please help fund this project for cursive writing workbooks for our fourth and fifth graders. They will be able to use the workbooks during free time in class and during our weekly arts & crafts lunch club. I am excited to watch them learn and to see how they add their own flourishes to their writing! Thanks for considering our project!
