Learning to read means access to all types of print. My kindergarten scholars are learning to read and becoming more fluent each and every day. In conjunction with learning to read, scholars are also learning to become strong leaders. With access to tablets in our classroom, kindergarten scholars will have the opportunity to read digitally, increasing their concepts of print. Additionally, they are learning technology responsibility by keeping the resources safe, remaining on-task, and following safe protocols. Reading and leading, with the coupling of Lenovo tablets, are helping us grow each and every day! These tablets will be used in our small group reading centers to access leveled readers that are used to build reading fluency. Each student has their unique level and needs access to read at their level. Seeing the readers in color, and then having the chance to listen to the story as well as manipulate the pages by zooming in and zooming out on specific key details and pictures, will all assist in building reading fluency and comprehension.
