With the focus on social-emotional learning, and with all that we have going on in the world today, I truly believe that "The Peace Corner" is an area of need in every classroom. The Peace Corner is a comfortable, relaxing, safe, and structured area, where students are simply allowed to experience their feelings and take care of themselves. It is a peaceful and educational area where students can calm themselves with stress balls, fidget sticks, soothing sounds, relaxing, and reading. It is an area for reflection, calming, and meditating. Using mindfulness to facilitate openness and curiosity toward self-awareness.
