Students will explore Scholastic News magazine as their first guide to learning about news that interest them. Students will be able to have a news paper that is designed to increase their curiosity of current events. Students will have newspapers delivered to their homes to begin starting a home library and used in zoom chats as a shared discussion. Students will use the interactive digital resources and connect with other students through open discussion. Students can also participate in classroom polls from the magazine and learn how to develop supporting reasoning and ideas to why they choose their answer.
