Students on the south side of Oklahoma City will be given the opportunity to tap into local resources, starting at the downtown library and ending at the local museum. The opportunity to explore literature and history outside of the classroom will provide students with an authentic perspective of what it means to be involved in their community. While at the library, they will find out about free homework help and will be able to use their student ID to check out books that nourish their mind and challenge them to think critically. After the library, students will engage in community dialogue and interactive learning at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum where they will be submerged in history and learn about the effects of the Oklahoma City bombing that took place in 1995.
