Gifted children and high achievers thrive on challenges. Having hands-on games that stretch their brains to another level is vital in enhancing my student's problem-solving skills. My students will have a variety of games to choose from which will highlight their strengths. Whether your child loves space, animals, logic puzzles, or word jumbles, there is something for everyone. Not only will this be a way my students can excel in their current skills, but they can learn to problem solve in other ways they didn't know they could. By observing others and their strategies, and by playing games that improve on their weaknesses in problem-solving, my students will continuously learn to problem solve. There is a chance to learn something new in every game. The games will build vocabulary, extend on their math skills, and most important - assist in their love for learning and continued love for education. With the variety of games that the students will have, this will give them an option to choose. A gifted learner needs choices. A gifted learner doesn't need more of the same material at a faster pace. A gifted learner needs differentiation that will include enrichment and extension on current skills, and provide tasks to build their critical and higher-order thinking. I have seen my students constantly ask for challenges, and to bring out more games that I have. This will build our game library, and directly impact their success in learning.
