At school, teachers have to buy paper in order to make copies. Because I got hired mid-year, my kids have been rationing worksheets and paper in order to complete work. My students will be able to dive into their learning because I'll be able to make more copies that stimulate their minds. With individual journals/notebooks, students will be able to recognize, acknowledge, and revel in the joy and power in writing. Students will be able to write poetry, songs, raps, and fictional/nonfictional stories, while also taking notes and analyzing A Raisin in the Sun and The Autobiography of Malcolm X.
