Students currently make 3D Breadboard models of the products they design using cardboard, tag board, foam core, and paper. Theses models can not be used for final testing of their designs. We are requesting a 3D printer which will take them one step further to solve the challenges by providing a working example of their design. With the addition of 3D printers to my classroom, students will be able to take the design process to the finish line. By fabricating a working 3D Prototype model of their designs, students may use the models to test their ideas to prove the functionality of their designs to solve the assigned challenge.
