Our school community is a family of learners that lean on their school experiences for a world-class education. The ukulele project will provide a new, exciting, and meaningful experience to their music classroom. With these ukuleles, we will learn how to care for an instrument, how to play with proper technique, and ultimately, how to make music of our own using the Orff Schulwerk approach to music-making. Our scholars will use the ukuleles to learn how to make their own music through chords and strumming patterns so that, if they are fortunate enough to find a similar instrument, they will have a special skill and joy to share with their community. Help our community grow as scholars, musicians, and people, with this wonderful addition to our music classroom.
