This material was selected to build an amazing classroom library, rich enough to help bilingual students in the process of acquiring a second language. It will make a huge difference for them because it will provide exposure to multiple genres, high quality illustrations and content related to topics that will be explored through Reader's Workshop. I will use these books to establish cultural connections but also help them expand their imagination and knowledge of the world. Through varied lessons that involve inferring, connections, questioning, all skills that don't only apply to books but to real life, I will make them feel curious about what surrounds them, and we will be learning our objectives at the same time.
