If my classroom was on a dating site, it'd come across as desperate. Little things like hand sanitizer, tissues, white copy paper (sweet, glorious paper!) are hard to come by. Just getting a single dry erase marker---in black, no less---triggers serious swooning. Won't you be a love and help a needy classroom out? Basic supplies would fill the holes in my classroom's broken heart, worn down by years of underfunding (as in $70M a year, not a typo). I'd love to be able to make copies for students; the majority of them do not have access to Internet or computers at home and require printouts. I'd love to clean my students' desks and have them clean their hands with sanitizer---especially before they pass in work to me (haha). Smelling fresh air in my classroom would be a dream. Not that it stinks. It just has an odd smell from the various trade workshops in my technical school. A teacher's working conditions are a student's learning conditions. We'd all fare better in a classroom with the basics. Thank you for your consideration!
