These materials will be used for read alouds and student reading during the preparation and duration of our Iditarod Unit! Within this unit, students choose a musher and their team of dogs to follow along during the race. The students learn about the training and bond the mushers and their team of dogs withstand. Along with the hard work it takes to finish the historical race. It all began with the need for help, and some brave sled dogs and their owners who were willing to take the risk. Please support our students in their exploration of this beautiful race and their literacy experiences!
