We are a public, inner-city, arts alternative, elementary school that receives Title I funds and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite the many hardships my students face, my students come in the classroom with smiles every day eager and wanting to learn. I have fun, loving, and very caring students whose thirst for knowledge should not be overlooked due to lack of technology. Many of our students are being raised by family members other than their parents, because their parents work long hours or their parents are absent in their lives. More than 80% of the school population are students that come from homes that fall below the poverty line and unfortunately they don't have access to technology outside of school.
