I have been teaching second grade for six years and have gone to visit other schools and seen how flexible seating really helps the students stay more focus. I teach at a Title One school and therefore have very limited resources. The materials that I am asking for will be used in my classroom where students will have the opportunity to make a choice of where to sit and with who to sit. This will allow them to have less stress and therefore work better. Students learn better when they have a chance to work together. Traditional desks in rows isolates students from each other. This will also help students to focus and learn more. Flexible seating allows students to be more comfortable and therefore focus and learn better.
