Picture Walks! Wonderous Words! Interesting Characters! Learning how problems are solved. These are just some of the things students work on in Guided Reading. The requested materials will be used during Guided Reading Lessons where students learn to work with words, improve decoding and fluency, and improve reading comprehension. Students are tested to determine their appropriate reading level and then placed in a text that provides appropriate instruction. Lessons are then designed to help students work toward meeting their grade level standards. Just imagine the excitement that a new book will create! Keeping students engaged is key to improving their reading skills.
