Since August, my students have been learning about the natural world around them through our study of ecosystems and biodiversity. They have recently begun to explore our world's natural resources, human impact on these resources and their role as global citizens to protect them. With the Hydroponics and Aquaponics systems in our classroom, my students will have a hands one experience to discover alternative methods of gardening. They will conduct hands on experiments and real life data collection comparing these methods to traditional forms of gardening as it relates to water usage. They will present their data and research at our School-wide STEAM Night.
