This project would allow all students to have the opportunity to learn Piano and Ukulele in my classroom. Currently, we do not have enough instruments for everyone to participate in playing actual music at the same time. Having ukuleles would mean we could work on singing, piano, and ukulele all at the same time. We would be able to perform regularly for our community and classmates. Students would be accessing music at a more achievable level and would have an easier time learning new songs. Our large class sizes mean that students can often be overlooked or unengaged, but having a class opportunity to perform where each student was responsible for their own element would hold students accountable and engage them more authentically.
