Resistance bands will help athletes learn proper techniques to sprinting and stretching. They will offer a safer and easier alternative to weightlifting and will build confidence for athletes to use their body weight with the resistance bands. This will help build their self confidence within their own ability level without the added pressure of comparing themselves to others. In providing this donation to my team, the bands will help student athletes achieve goals quicker and aid in the progression of their performance. Providing equipment that aids in success in sports can transition into success in the classroom. When students achieve in both areas, this creates a positive educational experience. Resistance bands are one of the most under utilized and unappreciated pieces of equipment. With proper use they can be the most valuable and versatile tools athletes can have access to. Their benefits are endless and I hope to give my athletes the opportunity to experience the effects resistance bands can have on their overall performance.
